Description: This course is an introduction to the ministry of the local church pastor. It includes consideration of appropriate biblical passages that inform pastoral ministry, a historical survey of the development of pastoral care, and presents the ministry of the pastor as public theologian (preacher/prophet), church administrator (king), and congregational caregiver (priest/sage).
