This course, taught by Christopher T. Baglow and Cory J. Hayes at Notre Dame Seminary, brings into dialogue four approaches to human origins for the sake of understanding what it means to be human. To understand human emergence, biological evolution, paleoanthropology, philosophical anthropology and theological anthropology all have a part to play, because understanding is achieved only when many points-of-view are unified in a way that respects the competence and autonomy of each.
